Metro Hong KongThe subway or Metro is called the MTR in Hong Kong. This is the most popular mode of transport. It has five lines plus related airport lines and stops at 44 stations covering the length and breadth of Hong Kong right up to the boundary with mainland China. Almost all lines link through Central Station. The fare could be anywhere from 4 HK $ to 26 HK $ depending on the distance covered. Concessions are given to children, students and the elderly. The Octopus card is valid, signs are in English too. It runs from 6 am to about 1 am.
