The Trooping of the Color celebrates the official birthday of the Queen of England. It takes place in June each year. It is a grand display of pageantry where over 1400 officers and men are on parade, together with two hundred horses and over 400 musicians from ten bands. The parade winds its way from Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch, along the Mall to Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and back again.
The event starts with the arrival of the Royal Procession at exactly 11 o'clock after which the Queen takes the Royal Salute. She then inspects the parade after which there is an impressive flypast by the RAF.
