ImageGround Zero is the site of the World Trade Center which was one of the most famous landmarks of New York.

 

The Twin Towers which once stood there before the Septmber 11, 2001 attacks, rose to a height of 541m ( 1,776 ft ). Now it is the site of soon to be built Freedom Towers which will replace the former monolithic buildings.

 

Visitors interested in seeing Ground Zero can catch a glimpse from the Water Garden at the World Financial Center.

 

Lower Manhattan (on the west side).
