City in a Day

(0 votes, average 0 out of 5)

altYou can do very little wrong if you spend the day in the center of the old city, primarily in the neighborhood of Al-Batha. Since most stores open late in the morning, it would be best to sleep in and rest up for the day ahead. The National Museum would be a good first stop, followed by Masmak Fortress and the Murraba Palace. Once that is done, go to the Souq Al-themairi next to the Murraba Palace, the perfect place to collect souvenirs and cultural toys! After this is done, in order to maximize the cultural impact, try the markets street food-a good Shawarma sandwich only sets you back a few Riyals. After the meal, make your way to the Kingdom  Center and enjoy the rest of the day shopping and dining at the fine Mirage Restaurant that is relatively close-by.

Masjid Information

In Muslim countries there is usually a masjid at every street corner so we are not listing masjids here.
