The Space Museum is located on 10 Salisbury Road, Tsimshatsui and was inaugurated in October 1980. It is 8000 square meters and its beautifully crafted dome is a special treat. This planetarium gives great insight of space science and astronomy and is a must see. The East Wing houses offices and is dedicated to Space science. It also has the massive Stanley Space Theater, while the west wing is the Hall of Astronomy. This is also where the scientists and astronomers can give their lectures. It has a gift shop and some more offices. The Stanley Space Theater, with its fully automatic controls, has the first OMNIMAX projection system in this part of the Globe. The two shows produced ever year are a must see if one is there at the right time. All exhibits are interactive and educative. This museum also organizes plenty of interesting activities related to science.
